Kit is simple and easy to create. Use any dense domestic or exotic hardwood species (sold separately), bore a 1/2" diameter by 3/4" deep hole. Mount the blank between centers of the lathe, turn the handle to your desired profile, sand and apply a finish of your choice. Install the threaded insert into the handle and attach the brass mallet head.
